Brahmi has been used in Auravedic medicine for thousands of years. It is widely held to improve memory amongst other claimed health benefits. It tastes bloody awful but there are ways to avoid tasting it. I can vouch for the fact that one thing you it DOES help you remember is how awful it tastes. A deep-rooted swamp plant that runs along the ground, Brahmi does well in self-watering pots and loves sodden ground. Despite what Wikipedia says I don't think it's actually native to Australia. I looked into it extensively a few years ago but haven't re-done the research. This might have been when I found that source that said the dose for the fresh herb it two 5cm pieces per day but do your own research on the point. If you're wondering what the white stuff it, it's a big piece of old corflute. I was using it as a background to help spot birds visiting the birdbath from the house. It was pretty useful before it folded over on itself. Anyway, I have Brahmi again which is something to look forward to twice a day.
