In the latest episode of The Run Down with Jordan Brown, actress and director Karimah Westbrook details 26 years of experience in the film industry — from her television debut in 2000 to starring in the CW series ‘All American.’ For six seasons, Westbrook played Grace James, the mother of football star Spencer James. As the series prepares to air its eighth and final season, Westbrook is closing one chapter and starting a new one with the release of her new Tubi series ‘Dream House.’ Directed by Westbrook, Courtney Miller Jr., Leon Lozano, and Anitra Stevens, the psychological drama centers on a mysterious vacation rental rumored to answer guests’ most pressing life questions through their dreams. ‘All American’ fans may see a few familiar faces in the film with Westbrook and Chelsea Tavares, who played Patience Robinson on the show. Westbrook used her previous experiences of acting and directing on the set of All American, as well as her own creative vessels, to create this project. In the full interview on The Run Down with Jordan Brown, Westbrook details what went into the process of creating the 56-minute drama series. I had the pleasure of asking Westbrook about her new series, her time on All American, and what inspires her to create film projects like Dream House. #allamerican #gracejames #dreamhouse #tubi #filmmaker #inspiring
