Our third session this season at Suitable Conversations at Sunder Nursery features author and columnist Pushpesh Pant and historian and author Swapna Liddle in conversation on ‘Delhi On My Plate: Stories of Food and History’. Pushpesh Pant is an author, columnist, broadcaster, anchor, and occasional teacher, as well as an independent producer of documentaries. Born in 1946 in a small Himalayan town, he was initially schooled at home and later in Nainital and Delhi. He pursued studies in history, international relations, and law at Agra University and the University of Delhi. He taught and conducted research for over four decades at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and has independently explored and researched Ayurveda. He has published over fifty books, including twenty focused on food. His India: The Cookbook became a New York Times bestseller in 2010 and has been translated into Dutch and German. His recent works include 'From King’s Table to Street Food: A Food History of Delhi' and 'Lazzatnama: Recipes of India.' Swapna Liddle is a historian and author of several books on Delhi.
