Title: Exile Voice – A Call for Justice and Awareness in the Tibetan Diaspora Community I am writing to share the story behind Exile Voice, the YouTube channel that has become a vital space for awareness, solidarity, and advocacy in our Tibetan diaspora community. What began as an effort to shed light on sexual abuse and political mismanagement within our community has tragically turned into a personal and public battle against harassment, lies, and the abuse of social media platforms. On October 7th, 2022, a protest took place at the Tibetan Community Center in New York. This protest was against a political leader, Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, accused of sexual abuse. My involvement in this protest and my vocal criticism of his felicitation at a gala dinner initiated a chain of events that led to constant harassment by individuals and organizations within the Tibetan community. Despite my efforts to raise awareness about important issues and expose misinformation, I became a target for those whose political agendas were threatened. In September 2022, I reached out to the organizing body, asking them to reconsider their decision to felicitate Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok. Instead of finding understanding or support, I was met with abuse, threats, and accusations. My family and I were subjected to harassment based on our background, sexuality, and beliefs, all while these actions were deeply intertwined with Tibetan politics. Given the lack of leadership and accountability within the community, I decided to launch Exile Voice. My goal was simple: to raise awareness about social behavior, political struggles, and the misuse of social media. I wanted to educate our community on how technology is being used to spread hatred and misinformation. The issues I raised were not aimed at individuals but at the broader issues within our community. Unfortunately, the more I exposed these concerns, the more I became a target. Individuals on social media began to bully, threaten, and defame me, using the very platforms I had hoped would foster change. One person in particular, Tsering Palmo, who runs the Tibetan Tsering YouTube channel, played a significant role in spreading hatred. She has repeatedly used her platform to harm others, including me, by spreading false information, harassing individuals, and engaging in acts of racism and discrimination. In February 2025, Tsering Palmo took things even further. She gained unauthorized access to the Exile Voice YouTube channel, deleted videos, and even went so far as to delete the entire channel. Despite my attempts to reach out and resolve the matter, she continued to deny her actions and even mocked the value of the work we were doing. She admitted to her wrongdoing on camera, revealing that she would continue such behavior in the future. The Exile Voice channel was not just a YouTube account for me—it was a platform that served the Tibetan community. It was a place where voices were heard, where important political and social issues were addressed, and where solidarity was built among us. The channel had over 14,000 subscribers, and thousands more viewed the content. It was never about monetization; it was about providing a space for awareness, research, and education. And now, through malicious actions, a valuable resource has been taken away from our community. I appeal to the relevant authorities to take action against these kinds of actions. The spreading of hatred, misinformation, and abuse on social media platforms should not be tolerated, especially when it affects the mental health and unity of a marginalized community like ours. Justice must be served according to the law, and those who misuse their platforms to harm others must be held accountable. Exile Voice was never just my voice—it was a collective voice for all of us who have struggled in exile. We must continue to build solidarity, encourage mutual support, and strive for peace and understanding within our community. This is a call for justice, a plea to protect the integrity of the work done in good faith, and a reminder that we must never allow hatred to define us. #awareness #tibetan #cybercrime #youtuber #proof #tpie #politics #music
