These yummy cookies very easy to make. Great activity for children. Ingredients: 1. 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) (170g) (6 oz) softened unsalted butter 2. 3/4 cup (150g) (5.29 oz) sugar 3. 1 large egg 4. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 5. 2 1/4 cups (250g) (8.81 oz) all purpose flour 6. 1/4 teaspoon salt 7. Yellow, white, blue, pink, red and brown fondant 8. Green gel or liquid food coloring 9. SpongeBob cookie cutter size 10cm (4 inch) (purchased from www.JB Cookie Cutters.com) Method: 1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F). Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper. 2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla essence. Beat together. Add flour and salt. Roll out to a 0,5cm (1/4 inch) thickness. Cut out shapes using cookie cutter. Place on prepared trays. Bake for 10 minutes. Once baked, transfer onto wire rack to completely cool down. 3. Roll out fondant to 2-4 mm (1/8 inch) thick on working surface dusted with powdered icing sugar, to prevent sticking. Use parts from cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Gently paint the cookie top with water or sugar syrup then place fondant over sugar syrup and smooth with hand. Cut out different parts from different color fondant and attach with water. Makes about 24 (6cm) (2 1/2 inch) cookies.
