3 things that secretly drive INFJ’s insane Why secretly? Because it might seem like we are not bothered by these things to the outside world, but in reality, we are. First things first, here are the time codes: Intro: 0:00 #1 People that disregard others: 00:51 #2 Social overwhelm: 05:17 #3 Outside interruptions: 09:05 Summary: 12:39 #1 People that disregard others You know these “me first” types of people? Yes, these guys. Why that might secretly bother us? It might seem like we’re not appreciating this behavior, because we value harmony and they are the exact opposite of that. We are polite, calm and won’t talk over the other person, that’s why it might seem like “we’re okay” with that kind of energy, when in reality, the opposite is the case. #2 Social overwhelm Why that might secretly bother us? We get confused to be extroverts. We are most extroverted introvert. So, it might seem like we’re enjoying interacting for long period of time…but that's not true! The effect is especially strong when our arch nemesis is present = small talk! We dislike it mainly because of our Ni (search for meaning and depth) and our judging preference (getting value for our time investment…not much value in small talk for INFJ’s). Granted, small talk can be a good way to make a good first impression and “break the ice.” #3 Outside interruptions Why that might secretly bother us? We work on a project that is important for us and it might seem like we’re fine when you're distracting us, because we usually won’t be rude and tell you to not bother us anymore, but inside we might feel annoyed (especially if it’s a trivial thing). We want to be productive and for that we need momentum, which gives us concentration. Distractions take away our momentum and concentration. By the time we get back to work after distraction, we will have almost no momentum and now we need to invest time to get it back. That might mean 1-2 hours of productivity lost.
