Donkey is a secondary protagonist in the "Shrek" franchise and an anthropomorphic, talkative, and energetic donkey who had a rough past but then found his happy life after encountering and getting to know Shrek, with whom he quickly became best friends, despite their many differences. He's known for having a quite annoying and hyperactive personality and yet still being able to have a good relationship with many other characters, including even finding a wife, who is a dragon, and having their children, dronkeys, who are dragon and donkey hybrids.
