The Wizard of Oz, also known as Oscar Diggs, is a feared ruler and one of the main characters, most often an antagonist, in the "Wizard of Oz" franchise. Although originally from Kansas, USA, he lives and rules in the Land of Oz as the "Wizard of Oz, Great and Powerful", since his accidental transfer there in his hot air balloon by a tornado. Since he was a circus worker and a fake magician back home, he continued using his trickery and illusions to promote his respected and feared status among the residents of Oz.
