Since the sequencer is based on measures, not individual steps, it means you can select something like 7/8, and then record for multiple measures of 7/8, rather than a 56 step pattern in a 64 total step sequence. That alone puts this ahead of just about every other groovebox, but you can also change time signatures per scene, meaning that you can easily compose songs with multiple time signature changes!
