To think.....this was before Soul Blade, Power Stone and Super Smash Bros.....1994, people! The Outfoxies is a weapon-based fighting game and released in 1994 by Namco. The game itself puts the player in one on one arena combat as you literally takes out your opponent by any means by using weapons such as guns, swords, flamethrowers, rocket launchers (hit and miss, that's from experience!) and other obscure items. Also, even the stages can take you out....Anybody want to go to a Aquarium!? The plot of 'The Outfoxies' is set around seven assassins hired by Mr. ACME have to take each one to earn the order to face Mr. ACME and earn 'the final paycheck'. The characters you have is John Smith who is a mercenary, Bernard White whom is a bio-medial engineer with a prosthetic hand, Betty Doe who is a business woman, Danny and Demi whom are former Siamese twins and very underhanded, Professor Ching who is confined to a wheelchair, Eve being a former actress turned criminal and Dweeb who is a chimpanzee with a top hat! Echoing what I said at the start, 'The Outfoxies' is a hidden gem to experience and reading up on it, being the fourth arcade game in April 1995 in Japan is saying something considering you had the Capcom and SNK games ruling the roost at the time. Although, this did get some reception in retrospect! Also, Goichi Suda (known as Suda 51) is a fan of 'The Outfoxies' and has a lot of influence from that in his games (Killer7, anyone!?). 'The Outfoxies' was played on MAME, recorded through Nvidia GeForce Experience and re-encoded through Wondershare UniConverter/Filmora.
