In today’s video, I’m starting a two-part mini series to prepare for Chinese New Year on February 17, as we get ready to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse. ❤️🔥🐎 In Chinese astrology, the Fire Horse represents passion, energy, independence, and bold new beginnings. It’s a year associated with motivation, creativity, and courage — but also with strong emotions and fast-paced change. Because of this, traditional New Year preparations focus on creating balance, clarity, and positive energy at home. ✨ Before Chinese New Year, it’s customary to: 🧹 Deep clean the home to remove old energy ✨ Declutter and organise to welcome good luck 🌿 Bring in fresh, living plants for growth and renewal 🚪 Clean entryways to invite prosperity ❌ Avoid cleaning on New Year’s Day to not “sweep away” good fortune We’re working through my to-do list together, starting with some of the most important areas in my home. First, I do a full deep clean of my wardrobe area: 👕 Taking everything out 🧹 Vacuuming the inside and underneath 🪞 Cleaning the mirror ✨ Wiping down the top of the wardrobe 📦 Putting everything back in an organised way Then it’s time for a little plant maintenance project: 🌿 Repotting my money plant 🌱 Planting new basil seeds 🧅 Regrowing green onions It’s such a nice way to bring fresh, living energy into the space while resetting for the new year. To finish off the day, I deep clean my entryway — including the shoe rack and the area behind it — so the first thing you see when you come home feels tidy and welcoming. 🚪✨ This is a calm, realistic clean with me / reset with me video — perfect for anyone who loves seasonal resets, gentle motivation, and slow home organisation. Part 2 is coming soon, where we’ll continue preparing for the new year together. 🤍✨ Subscribe for more seasonal resets, cozy routines, and realistic home organisation.
