For a single-track line, this line is incredibly busy, and there's seldom not at least one train waiting for a path along it from one of the passing loops. It leads to the UK's busiest container port at Felixstowe on the North Sea Coast, is served hourly by a local stopping service, and freight even massively outnumbers passenger traffic in this video! This was my third trip to this vital line to the port complex at Felixstowe, and there was more freight traffic throughout than I have ever known. The level crossing here like two others was fully renewed in 2019 to have full barriers and obstacle detection, yet the line was not doubled despite how much demand there is from traffic along it. This video features four lowerings at this level crossing on Stratton Hall Drift, as well as a bonus clip from a small public footpath crossing just under half a mile up from it. I caught another out-bound container train at this crossing with beautiful full sun, but was made jump quite a bit by the horn off of it (if you look closely you can see the driver moving his arm to pull the horn lever as to warn us of his approach and say hello).
