We climbed Lion's Head before we tackled Table Mountain in Cape Town. It turns out that the climb up Table Mountain is a lot easier than Lions Head, mostly because so many folks do it and they are obligated to make the path much safer for that reason. It really is something you just need to do, if only to get the views of Cape Town and the sea from above. If you don't want to put the effort in, there is a cable car that cost $20 round trip.
