This is one of the most incredible anime openings of all time, and one of my favorite songs ever. Ryo is such a talented composer! I've never seen Guilty Crown, but this song has been one of my faves for a while now, and I got the idea to cover it about a month ago. I didn't want to stray too far from the original, so I kept all the instrumentation the same (and boy was it a pain to transcribe the piano for this xD), and just added and re-wrote guitar and drum parts! I think it turned into one of my most awesome covers, and I'm super happy with the result :D. Mix-wise, I also re-worked my kick and snare drums so they sound waaaay better in this. Then I got the idea to write my own lyric translation for this song since I love the lyrics so much! This is the second time I've tried to do an English lyric adaptation, but the first time actually releasing it, and I love the lyrics I came up (and a big shout-out to my friend Caitlin for helping revise these)! I think it really adds an extra layer of emotion to this song to have the lyrics with it, and I hope you also enjoy having the lyrics on screen with the guitar.
