Let’s make Coconut Zesty Poached Tilapia. It’s light creamy and full of bright citrus flavor from the lime zest. The fish stays tender while the coconut broth turns rich and comforting. If you want an easy dish you can put together on a weeknight this one is a great choice. Recipe below so you can follow along easily. RECIPE Ingredients Cooking oil 1 medium white onion thinly sliced 1 whole head garlic crushed Fresh ginger slices 1 siling labuyo 1 can coconut milk 1/2 cup broth 1 tablespoon fish sauce 1 teaspoon brown sugar 500 grams tilapia fillet 1/2 teaspoon lime zest Ground black pepper Parsley Chopped scallions Instructions Heat 1/4 cup cooking oil in a large shallow pan over medium heat Add 1 medium white onion and sauté until semi-transparent Add 1 whole head of garlic and sauté until fragrant Add fresh ginger slices and cook for 2 minutes Add 1 siling labuyo and cook for 30 seconds Pour in 1 can of coconut milk and mix well Add 1/2 cup broth and stir Add 1 tablespoon fish sauce Add 1 teaspoon brown sugar Stir and bring to a gentle simmer Carefully place 500 grams tilapia fillet into the coconut broth Lower heat and poach covered for 7 to 9 minutes until the fish flakes easily Add 1/2 teaspoon lime zest Season with ground black pepper Taste and adjust salt if needed Transfer the fish to a plate Spoon the coconut broth over the top Garnish with parsley chopped scallions and chili oil Serve with steamed white rice New recipe every week.
