Join Fiona Callanan, a lower-limb amputee with over 1,000 hours of training and teaching experience in some of London's top yoga studios. In this first session, she will guide you through a beginner's accessible yoga flow using a chair—perfect for new amputees or those with a limb difference looking to learn adaptive yoga and build confidence using their prosthesis. You'll focus on grounding, stability, and breath synchronization to the rhythm of the music through various adaptive chair-supported yoga flow poses and seated meditation. This practice emphasizes mindfulness, relaxation, and the vital role of breath in enhancing your yoga experience. What You Will Need: • A clear, open space • A chair for balance (if needed) • A yoga mat for comfort • A yoga block for added support Today, yoga is more accessible than ever, and Fiona's mission is to raise awareness and help individuals with physical disabilities feel comfortable in their practice.
