Early Spring Alpine Lake Camping Fishing & Firebox Folding HEX Stove Cooking & Baking Beautiful Food

"Wow!" This place invokes so much wonder and awe in me! With it's massive boulder slopes and deep green lake! Completely concealed and isolated! Then to see it with a blanket of snow, accenting the insane textures and creating contrast with the green of the lake and trees. Now I've seen these same views in autumn colors, green leaves, and now, snow! Such an honor to be graced with such a rare and exceptional experience. Not to mention the fishing! I caught two exceptionally well sized trout. One was a cutthroat, the other a tiger. Such a pleasure and well worth the effort in clearing dead fall, and hiking in slippery mud. I felt a bit more connection with my animals on this trip. We all seemed to "gel" with each other a bit more on this trip. We are all finding our place in the pack/herd which makes camping together out here in the wilderness, an absolute joy.
