In September of 2023 I took a quick day trip to Lake Tapps, up near Tacoma, a couple hours from my house. I took the new kayak, this was the first time I used it for a long trip. The paddle from one end of the lake to the other and back was about eight miles. The weather was very nice, the water was clean and clear. It doesn’t get much better than this! Lake Tapps is interesting from a use and historical perspective. Everything you could want to know is at the website of the water supply agency that now owns the lake: https://cascadewater.org/lake-tapps/l... * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * As the title suggests, some people think I am a little strange.
