This training is interesting, and I didn't fully understand how it worked at first. I honestly thought it was glitched since I was using characters that came out after it was made. See, it says you'll be switched places with a random hero outside your "Formation" but doesn't clarify beyond that. I thought I'd be switching after every phase, but I went through the whole first area never switching once. But then as soon as I recruited a 7th character, whoever wasn't in the Formation slots, was who I switched to. So suddenly I was playing as Okuni. While I would say any character you haven't recruited is "outside your Formation", the game meant that only characters you've RECRUITED that are outside your Formation will be switched to. So this creates an interesting situation where you want to avoid recruiting characters you DON'T want to play as (such as Okuni) and try to aim for ones you wouldn't mind switching to. If you're really good at planning ahead, you could try and recruit only characters that work with your build, but that'll get harder and harder as it goes on and you naturally collect more characters. It could be worth it to go down Tears of Blood/Karma portals just so your recruited character total stays lower, giving you better odds of playing as someone you want. For most of this I got pretty lucky, switching to power houses like Lu Bu and Zuo Ci, and back to Ziluan. But then we get to the final boss and I got stuck as Jiang Wei, one of the worst characters in the game with terrible effects. So that last fight took forEVER playing as him. But hey, at least I beat it. This could be fun to try again now that I know more how it works and can plan around that.
