#BigLap #4wdbeach #Forster We FINALLY start our Australian road trip! First stop, 4wding on Sandbar Beach, near Forster Tuncurry and Seal Rocks. Join us for this whirlwind episode where we leave Bowral, Southern Highlands and head north to Forster Tuncurry. This is our first stop travelling Australia and we are so excited for slightly warmer climates (Bowral is freezing in Winter). Sandbar Beach is such a special place to visit - we highly recommend it to anyone with a 4wd. There are not that many beaches that are this secluded and quiet AND that have an epic lake on the one side with the ocean on the other. It’s a short beach to 4wd but it’s great for spearfishing and the lake is awesome if you have a kayak or a paddleboard. In Forster we stop at Wallis Lake Fish Co-op and load up on local seafood - snapper, whiting and baby octopus and grab some of Graham Barclay’s oysters (voted no1 in Australia 2018) to cook up on the beach after a bloody good swim in the ocean. The sunset is magic on this beach so stick around to the end to see it. We’d like something to show the grandkids, so we’ve set ourselves the task of making videos of our Australian travel adventures weekly. If you want to follow along and see if we love (or hate) not having a routine or more than 6 metres of living space…or if you’re just looking for holiday inspiration, then SUBSCRIBE!
