Morning Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips has a look at the weather ahead. Seasonably milder morning temperatures for most are present after yesterday's warmer day courtesy of more-stable air with downsloping westerly winds. Air temperatures in the north and east are starting off mostly in the upper single digits to the low 30s, while areas to the southwest are mostly ranging from the high teens to the 30s. Sprinkles in southern areas are possible with cloudier skies in store but with above-normal afternoon temperatures mostly ranging from the upper 50s to lower 70s from northwest to southeast from high to low elevation. Warmer-than-normal conditions are set to become more widespread ahead, because of southwesterly winds to go up, over, and down the southeast-sloped mountain faces, with a strong ridge of high pressure building to the west, leading to the sinking, compressing, drying, & milder process at the surface as a result. Hardly if any precipitation will fall this weekend with mostly clear skies mostly prevailing, but a stormier pattern next week will eventually start to gradually change conditions ahead.
