Physically-Based Rendering and Taming Aliasing - Presented by Romain Guy

Physically-Based Rendering has become increasingly popular over the past few years and found its way in many game engines such as Frostbite 3, Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 5. Once available only in offline renderers, PBR techniques can now be used on mobile and on the web. In this talk you will learn what lighting techniques are behind PBR. Beautiful lighting is however nothing without a stable image, particularly in sensitive environments such as VR. Flickering and aliasing can ruin the experience and we will discuss various solutions that you can use to fight them. About Romain Guy Romain is a graphics and user interface programmer at Google and worked on the Android framework team for many years. High-quality graphics and physically-based rendering are two of his personal passions that he loves to share with anybody who will listen.
