Building Public Infrastructure for Online Participation [Webinar 2/4]

In this webinar, we focus on the role of data and Digital Public Infrastructures (DPIs) in creating more democratic smart cities. The discussion will explore how DPIs can enhance political participation, the types of digital infrastructure needed for smart city decision-making, and how governments, civil society, and the private sector can collaborate in co-producing essential data and technologies. Moderated by Fernanda Campagnucci, a postdoctoral researcher with the Scope Research Initiative, and José Carlos Vaz, Brazil Chair at the University of Münster and Professor at the University of Sao Paulo the panel will feature Alejandra Gonzalez, Head of Growth at Codeando México; and Christian Kray, Head of the Situated Computing Lab at the University of Münster. The activity was part of the Innovation Week of the Brazilian National School of Public Administration - ENAP and the Urban October programme.
