Redo Breast Lift with Implants & 360 Liposuction | High-Risk Cosmetic Surgery with Anderson-Tawil Syndrome:- In this video, we take you inside a very challenging redo cosmetic surgery on a patient who had a breast lift with implants and abdominal liposuction 20 years ago. She was not happy with the earlier results and came to us for corrections. What makes this case even more complex is her rare medical condition that can make anaesthesia life-threatening if not handled properly. This patient has Anderson-Tawil Syndrome, which puts her at risk of malignant hyperthermia. This is a serious and potentially fatal reaction to certain anaesthesia medicines. Because of this, the anaesthesia plan had to be carefully designed to avoid all known triggers. We are performing a redo breast lift with implant replacement, along with 360-degree liposuction and abdominoplasty. While these procedures are routine for our team, the patient’s underlying condition makes this surgery highly sensitive and requires advanced planning, expert monitoring, and full safety preparation. To keep her safe, we avoided all anaesthesia gases that could trigger malignant hyperthermia. Instead, we used total intravenous anaesthesia with oxygen and air only. We used target-controlled infusion pumps to maintain the correct anaesthesia depth and BIS monitoring to closely track her response throughout the surgery. As an extra safety measure, we kept dantrolene sodium ready in case of any emergency temperature rise.
