In this video, we will be discussing the topic of how donated blood is screened for infection. Throughout the video, we will be explaining some background information about blood, such as the different components of blood, different blood types, and who can donate or receive blood. A McMaster University expert, Dr. Steven Drews will also be explaining how donated blood is stored and the screening process that is involved when donating blood.
