I'm thrilled to share my exciting journey with you. On 16th November 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Semadoh Jangal Safari - Melghat Tiger Reserve. On 16th November 2023, my family and I went on a memorable trip from Amravati to Simardow, located in the Melghat Tiger Reserve. A total of four members joined this journey—my younger sister Nirupa Gupta Raney, her husband Rajendrasing Raney, my elder brother’s daughter Mahek Gupta, and myself. It was a perfect blend of travel, food, and wildlife adventure. • Semadoh is a prominent village and eco-tourism hub located in the heart of the Melghat Tiger Reserve in the Chikhaldara Tehsil of Amravati District, Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of the Sipna River, offering scenic, dense forest views.It serves as a base for wildlife safaris, featuring the Semadoh Tourist Complex managed by the Maharashtra Forest Department. • The area is rich in biodiversity, offering opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, Indian Gaur, and various bird species, including the endangered Forest Owlet. • Semadoh Tourist Complex (MTDC) provides accommodation for tourists visiting the Melghat Tiger Reserve.. • Semadoh is one of the four main, designated tourism centers within the larger Melghat area, along with Chikhaldara, Harisal, and Shahnur. 02:31 - Journey & Experiences 05:30 - 1. Departure from Amravati to Semadoh: We started our journey early from Amravati and headed towards Semadoh, excited for the safari and forest experience ahead. 06:30 - 2. Purchase of Country Chicken (Desi Murga): After reaching Semadoh, we purchased a country chicken (desi murga) from the local market. 07:21 - 3. Roasting the Chicken: The chicken was roasted, giving it a traditional and authentic village-style flavor. 09:57 - 4. Chicken Cutting Process: After roasting, the chicken was properly cleaned and cut for cooking. 10:47 - 5. Cooking and Lunch at Sipna Hotel: The chicken was cooked deliciously, and we enjoyed our meal at Sipna Hotel, savoring the authentic taste and freshness. 14:29 - 6. Booking Semadoh Jungle Safari: After lunch, we booked the Semadoh Jungle Safari at the official safari booking point. 15:49 - 7. Enjoying Paan at Semadoh: Before the safari began, we enjoyed paan at Semadoh, relaxing and soaking in the forest atmosphere. 16:05 - 8. Start of Jungle Safari: Our jungle safari officially started, and we entered the dense forest area of Melghat Tiger Reserve. 18:56 - 9. First Checkpoint – Peepal Padav Check Post: The first stop of our safari was Peepal Padav Check Post, where our vehicle and permits were checked. This marked our first halt inside the Semadoh range. 19:56 - 10. Jungle Safari Continued Through the Forest: After the check post, our jungle safari continued through beautiful forest trails. 34:22 - 11. Second Halt During Jungle Safari: We reached our second stop, where we paused briefly and observed the surroundings. 37:02 - 12. Jungle Safari Continued Again: The safari resumed, taking us deeper into the forest. 45:48 - 13. Third Halt During Jungle Safari: We reached the third halt, enjoying the calmness and natural beauty of the forest. 46:24 - 14. Jungle Safari Continued Further: Once again, the Jungle jungle safari continued, giving us more chances to experience wildlife and dense greenery. 46:54 - 15. Return Journey of the Jungle Safari: After completing the Jungle safari route, we started our return journey. 50:26 - 16. Arrival at Eco-Tourism Complex, Semadoh: We returned safely to the Eco-Tourism Complex, Semadoh, the same place from where our Jungle safari had started, marking the official end of the safari. 51:41 - 17. Return from Semadoh to Amravati: After completing the Jungle safari and relaxing for some time, we headed back from Semadoh to Amravati, concluding a memorable day trip.
