Continuing our exhaustive exploration into slime, today we’re making one that’s sticky and clear but sparkles from the inside outside with glitter! Once again, I’m assisting Hannah and Chloe in the lab to make today’s slime. The downloadable PDF worksheet for this experiment can be found here: https://ExplorationStation.net/glitte... -Supplies- 1. Clear Slime Glue 2. Baking Soda 3. Saline Solution - when finding a saline or contact lens solution, check the ingredients to make sure it has Boric Acid. This is a crucial ingredient and it’s why our first slime didn’t work! 4. Water 5. Food Colouring 6. Glitter 7. Bowl 8. Spatula or Mixing Utensil -Links- Maddie Rae’s Shop https://slimemaking.com/shop-home/ -Instructions- 1. Pour 1 cup of Clear Slime Glue into a bowl. 2. Add 1 cup of water and stir. 3. Add colouring and glitter of your choice. 4. Add up to 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix slowly until dissolved. 5. Add 1 tablespoon of saline solution. 6. Mix continuously until slime starts to form. This will likely take about 15 minutes of continuous stirring. 7. Add a squirt of saline solution every few minutes to help the slime form. 8. Add ¼ teaspoons of baking soda at a time to create a firmer slime. To play with your slime, rub your hands with a couple drops of saline solution to stop it from sticking to you so much. Store your slime in an air tight container when not playing with it. The more you knead and play with your slime, the firmer and less sticky it will become!
