Our 2013 Tesla Model S 85 with 200k miles has another issue! The rear driver side door window fell down into the door and later the rear door handles quit presenting. I found a few blown 5 amp fuse in one of the two fuse boxes under the hood. They are located under the plastic panel between the frunk and the windshield. I installed a new fuse and it immediately blew, indicating a dead short. I suspected the falling window done some damage to the wiring inside the door. But after taking the interior door panel off, it all looked different then I expected. I expected the window to be detached from the regulator and having to just re-attach it, locate the bad wiring and repair it. Not so. The glass is attached to the regulator but I found some cables and a broken plastic guide. Also I did not see any obvious damage to the wiring. The door handle issue will most likely need more diagnostic. In this video I will remove the regulator and repair it. The door handle issue will be a separate video later.
