Civilians flee 'Operation 1027' in northern Shan State

An increasing number of civilians have fled fighting between the military and the Brotherhood Alliance “Operation 1027" in northern Shan State. The Brotherhood Alliance consists of the Arakan Army (AA), the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA). It launched its offensive to seize military outposts on Oct. 27.
