Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to respond harshly to Russian aggression, striking deep into Russian territory and occupied infrastructure. In just the past week, Ukrainian drone units, including the 412th Nemesis Brigade, destroyed about 10 Russian air defense systems, while fires at military facilities deep inside Russia disproved Kremlin propaganda claims of "successful drone interceptions." The frontline situation remains challenging but controlled. Ukrainian troops hold positions, conduct tactical advances, and create kill zones, particularly on the Kupyansk axis where Russian units are effectively pinned down and suffering heavy losses. Russian attempts to stretch Ukrainian defenses in the south and Kharkiv region yield minimal results and cost the occupiers dearly. A separate threat is the likely mobilization of Russian reservists. Formally, the Kremlin promises to use them only for guarding facilities in Russia, but previous experience with conscripts suggests otherwise.
