Hi! Just a few things I wanted to mention at the top: I use captions in my videos to make up for no commentary (just stating this for anyone randomly coming across my videos). I tried something new with this group of videos' thumbnails. Which is highlighting what endings I got in the particular video; and since this'll be broken up into 4 parts, I used a percentage, kinda like the game does! Also to spice things up I guess. For those who are uploading videos of the game, it is asked to put the version number, so that's why it'll be in the title! I quieted the audio in some parts cause it was kinda loud and I have sensitive hearing. Also I might've had the volume up high to hear the softer sounds... And most importantly... the game link! It's available in Korean and English!: https://store.steampowered.com/app/17... All my videos on this game will be here: • House of Rules Y'know, this is a horror game, but the setting is kinda comforting to me? The soft lighting, the quietness, the familiarity of the staying in the same house as we go. I wasn't sure how I felt about some of the sudden loud sounds and/or jumpscares. Sometimes I feel it would be best to do things silently, but also RPG Maker has small resolution sizes so it can be easy to miss some! Like the mirror one at the beginning. I sized up it for the videos, but mostly I just had it at default size. But I also feel like the sudden scares or sounds is needed when you start to become comfortable in the setting. To remind you to not be at ease, that the MC is not safe, and that danger is lurking... Also some sounds are used to highlight intensity in the dialogue. How things are mostly kind, but some topics will get a rise out of them, depending on the character. The graphics and presentation are lovely too! Again, I love the lighting. I also like the text box & the little character introduction videos. It really matches with the vibe of the mysterious manor. And having a set of rules makes something seem more...pristine? Idk. So the eloquent text box and UI fits. The way the menu's set up is well done too! I wish there were more save slots, but the save menu looks like it was set up with images and such. So it might be a pain to script/event more than what was already given. It might be annoying if you plan to get all endings and have to replay a big chunk, but I think it's fine if you plan to just get whatever endings you may get as you play. Okok, I think this description is long enough for the first part. I'll probably save most of my thoughts of the story till the last part.
