Scandinavia with kids by cruise ship June 2025 (Copenhagen, Geiranger, Bergen, Stavanger, Foteviken)

Come sail with us to the bays and fjords of the northernmost tip of Europe. The journey to this harsh landscape does not have to be boring for children or extremely expensive. We will enjoy the amazing mountain scenery, count endless waterfalls, look for Vikings, naughty trolls and singing mermaids. We will make the journey to easier (and cheaper) by sailing on the Costa Diadema cruise ship. The flight takes us to Copenhagen, where we spend the first 24 hours visiting the most famous places. The next day we board the Costa Diadema cruise ship and spend a day exploring the ship while crossing to Norway. The highlight of the cruise is the next day when passing through the most beautiful Geiranger fjord. The number of waterfalls here is endless and we also have the opportunity to do some exercise while climbing to the viewpoint. The next day we visit Bergen with its beautiful medieval harbor. Bergen is also one of the rainiest places in Europe, which we will experience firsthand. The last Norwegian stop, Stavanger, brings many pleasant surprises - the place of the unification of Norway and an Iron Age farm. The next day, in Kiel, while most of the passengers embark and disembark, we will rest on the Baltic beach and explore a real submarine. After returning to Copenhagen, the adventure still does not end, because a very authentic Viking festival is currently taking place in neighboring Sweden. Locals from the surrounding area dress in period clothing, pitch tents and live like Vikings for a few days. Their connection with nature and national pride are great inspiration for us at the end of our trip.
