In this video I talk about competition upgrades that I did to my Ruger PC to be more competitive against the AR shooters. I want to discuss a few things here that I may have glossed over in the video. First, at the end of the video I mention how I finished in the matches. These numbers are against the other PCC shooters, not overall. Also, I meant to talk more about the use of the laser, but forgot. I must be loosing brain cells! I hardly use the laser much at all, usually for targets that are around (or over) a barricade where I can't get my body in a good position to see through the scope. Another point that I didn't discuss is why I was using 10 round mags in the video. In a match where unlimited rounds are allowed in the magazine, I will use a "big stick", which generally will not require a reload at all, and if a reload is required, speed is not usually that critical, and be done while moving. However, there are many classifiers that require a reload, and since they are usually a short round count, reloads are very critical. In these stages I will use 10 round mags, as they are lighter, and at least for me, easier to find their way into the mag well. During the mag change part of the video I am grabbing the second magazine from my belt, not off of a table. It is also very important to keep the rifle on target and eyes down range so that you can get of that first shot after the reload quickly. Below are times in the video for the closeup shots of the accessories, and the magazine change demonstrations. Thanks for watching, and post questions and comments if you have any.
