I want to explain what happened on that night. A female patient was brought to the emergency room in a very bad condition. She was already under treatment by Dr. Majeed and Dr. Saleem. When things got chaotic, Dr. Majeed left the emergency room. The patient's condition was very serious, and we were doing everything to save her. Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, she didn't survive and passed away around 8 PM. Her family members got very angry and started shouting and behaving badly towards the doctors and staff. The security guards didn't do their job properly, and more than 12 men with mobile cameras entered the female emergency room, which is a restricted area. At that time, we were treating many patients with limited resources, and we were trying our best to save lives. When the family members started threatening and shouting, I went to the DMS office to ask for security. The DMS told me that security was on the way and asked me to continue my work. I went back and started treating patients. I was looking after four patients at that time. One of the patient's relatives suddenly came towards me and physically attacked me. He grabbed my left arm, shouted at me, and tried to hit me again. Luckily, my patient's family members stopped him. I told them that I wasn't the doctor treating the deceased patient, but they kept shouting and threatening me. I didn't shout back or hit anyone. I stayed calm and tried to move away. But the same person attacked me again and used very bad language. The video footage will show that I moved back to protect myself. I went back to the DMS office and reported the danger to my life. The DMS asked me to stay inside, and he went to handle the situation. The attackers followed me to the DMS office and continued to threaten and shout at me. I locked the door to protect myself. Regarding my gesture, it was a natural reaction to the situation. I didn't intend to insult or provoke anyone. It was a silent protest against the continuous provocation and mental torture. I want to say that the aggression was from their side. If I hadn't been attacked and provoked repeatedly, I wouldn't have made any gesture. The doctors who were directly responsible for the patient's treatment left the ward, which created chaos and led to the situation. The security guards were absent, which led to the disturbance and the attack on me. I request that the matter be investigated objectively and that I be reinstated to my duties so that I can complete my training without any obstacles or bias.' #DoctorsSafetyMatters #HealthcareHeroes #ViolenceAgainstDoctors #JusticeForDoctors #MedicalProfessionalsUnited #RespectForDoctors #HospitalsUnderAttack #SafetyInHospitals #MedicalEmergency #DoctorLife #HealthcareWorkersRights #StopViolenceAgainstDoctors #DoctorsUnderAttack #HospitalSafety #MedicalEthics
