400hp/795Kg Revolution A-One Prototype in action at Monza: Ford 3.7L N/A V6 Engine Sound!

This video is about a Revolution A-One I recorded a couple of weeks ago at Autodromo Nazionale Monza during the 2021 technical test day by Kuno Schaer. This open-cockpit prototype has been created by Revolution Race Cars and it's the brain-child of Phil Abbott, one of the co-founders of Radical Sportscars. It's built around a carbon-fibre tub large enough to operate both solo and with a passenger aboard. The aerodynamic is LMPs inspired and offers more downforce than anything else in its price bracket, but it remains balanced in all driving situations to allow both experienced professionals and amateur enthusiasts enjoy its performance. The engine is a Ford Duratec 37, a 3.7-liter naturally-aspirated V6 engine from Ford's Cyclone engines family. It has been slighly modified for the A-One and it's now able to produce around 400 hp. To lower the V6’s centre of gravity, Revolution has engineered its own dry sump system and flywheel. The engine is linked to a bespoke six-speed sequential gearbox by 3MO, a French company which also supplies transmissions for World Rally Championship contenders. The total weight of the car is of 795 kg. In addition to being used during tests and track days, the A-One can participate in the Sports Prototype Cup, a championship that in 2021 will see both the Revolution UK Trophy and the BARC Radical SR3 Trophy racing around Europe. One of the rounds (only open to Revolution UK Trophy) will be at Monza during the F1 Italian GP weekend next September. The car in this video features an aftermarket exhaust which makes the V6 a lot louder than the OEM exhaust I heard watching other videos related to Revolution race cars.
