In this guided somatic meditation, we explore The Basic Exercise for Trauma Healing — a simple yet powerful somatic exercise for nervous system regulation. This trauma-informed practice supports the release of freeze, shutdown, and chronic tension by working directly with the body, without revisiting traumatic memories or forcing emotional release. Trauma is not stored as a story, but as activation patterns in the nervous system. This basic exercise gently engages the orienting response and social engagement system, helping the body move out of freeze and into present-moment safety.
