I got the opportunity to build this board for a friend. Such a special board! It has a very full sound, creating a unique and great tone with that 1mm CEM3 PCB. I don't think I've ever heard a board that's sounded this full before - it has a very nice resonance all around but isn't hollow. This is the best sounding board I've ever tried. Super full mods with all the keycap sets. I wanted to both the Cherry dyesubs and GMK on this. Both sound fantastic, especially the dyesubs. Have really never enjoyed pbt up to this point but these fantastic. I think i prefer the dyesubs on this. Quick note on the hineybeige, this specific set has been mounted and unmounted many times, so the stems are a little bit more loose than say a brand new gmk set. This 100% effects sound, making the sound more toned and less aggressive compared to bnib gmk. I've tried a couple of boards with the same OTD mounting points. All were decently flexible. This board is stiff, which surprised me because of the thin CEM3 PCB. I think the stiffness of this board helps with the aggressive sound it has - if it was more flexible, I think it would lose the nice sound it has here. This board and PCB have O-ring cutouts. However, this is not an O-ring-only mountable board. It is meant to be dual-mounted with its top mount. The O-ring around the PCB ever so slightly reduces some of the resonance, but it's a 1% change in sound and doesn't really do much. 00:00 - OG Dyesubs Typing 00:34 - OG Dyesubs Mods 1:01 - GMK Hineybeige Typing 1:36 - GMK Hineybeige Mods Camera: Sony A6400 Lens: Samyang 45mm F1.8 Mic: Proar C414 (C414 clone) Audio Interface: Focusrite solo 3rd gen
