Here's a memento of a very special day, commemorating a new blue plaque at the site of Strawberry Studios South in Dorking, 28th October 2024. Graham Gouldman, Rick Fenn, Stuart Tosh and Paul Burgess from 10cc Mk II were there to join in the fun at the unveiling, a record signing and a champagne toast at Dorking Museum, and they were joined by numerous former colleagues who worked at the studios between 1977 and 1983, including engineer Tony Spath. Sadly, Eric Stewart and Duncan Mackay couldn't make it. Huge thanks go to: All the staff and volunteers at Dorking Museum Spin Sounds Records, Dorking The residents of Chartwood Place, Dorking The Strawberry Archive Consequences 10cc Podcast The staff and engineers at Strawberry Studios South, and all the artists who recorded there The current and former members of 10cc who could join us for this very special celebration and 10cc's Eric Stewart for his enormous contribution to the studio. Thank you all for coming along! (The music in this video features 10cc's "From Rochdale To Ocho Rios" written by Graham Gouldman. It's taken directly from a tape recorded and mastered here in Dorking.)
