The SNK train continues as we go from Ninja Masters to the world of The King of Fighters. In this video, I will fight two KOF boss characters from GONZO and another POTS style character based on a female Zero edit. Thankfully, this one was a bit of a relief compared to what I’ve been facing as of late, and with one member of each of my team taking stage, including a new member for the Lethal League, that’s fine by me. All stages are by XCheatDeath and all themes are from KOF All-Star Match 1 Representing The Wild Rebellion: Wolverine (Sander71113) Opponent: Mukai (GONZO) Stage: Mukai’s Lair Music: Same as the stage First up is the final boss of KOF2003, Mukai. Originally, I was going to fight Cyanide’s Mukai, but I decided to fight that version another time, as this version was a lot easier to fight. Mukai has a lot of stone-based attacks like a rock throw, a stone pillar dropping on you, a grab where he’ll turn you to stone as well as specials like a multi-stone pillar drop and a full screen special that will turn you into stone after it’s done. Wolverine was the right call for this one, as his combo game allowed me to put him down before he got anything going. Match 2 Representing Absolute Justice: Ayu (586) Opponent: Demetra Volkova (GoldEX) Stage: Clone Lab Music: Same as the Stage Next up’s a character that was previously fought by ‪@WatcherofMUGEN‬ and ‪@MaycolGamer026‬, and she’s got an interesting story but a lot of wasted potential. Demetra Volkova was an unfinished character that was revived by GoldEX into a POTS style character. She has various energy based attacks, as well as a move where she spins around like a ballerina. With Ayu, I had to find openings in her attacks and then strike when she’s open. This character isn’t too bad, because with the right coder, I think giving her proper KOF gameplay would result in a great character. Match 3 Representing The Lethal League: Mizuki (Ali) Opponent: Orochi (GONZO) Stage: Orochi’s Cave Music: Same as the Stage We end this boss rush with the other KOF boss from GONZO, Orochi. He’s got a wide variety of moves like psychic projectiles, pillars of light, as well as specials like a full-screen blast and a move where he’ll pull you in, and then do a good chunk of damage with a punch to the gut followed by a psychic crush. This is where Mizuki comes in, she had a great strategy when it came to stopping Orochi before he could get anything going, as a combination of down sweep into her spells was the combo to get the job done.
