"Landing Softly" (Insane Demon) by ivyteal & MaxxoRMeN | Geometry Dash 2.2

This level's layout was made entirely by MaxxoRMeN, while ivyteal decorated the whole thing. As seen on the sign at the start, you take fall damage (and die) if you fall down more than 4 blocks. This is a really cool concept that I don't think I've seen in Classic Geometry Dash levels before. You can also toggle on a height indicator for practice mode, which makes it easier to practice the level. Note that falling on pads negates the fall damage, so you need to use this to your advantage several times throughout the level. With this unique gimmick, requiring some precise timings and memory, as well as the length, this will most likely be an Insane Demon once rated. Visually, I think ivyteal did a great job bringing this to life. It's not their usual style consisting of design and effects, but more art-based instead. There isn't a whole lot of custom art in the level, but instead default objects are used to create the theme, making it more like oldschool art levels. The traditional gates, bamboos, clouds, and mountains are some good examples of this, which also fits the song's sound. I could see some people finding the progression a bit slow, as it takes some time to change its visuals, and it never changes parts completely either. Personally, I think having it all be one continuous part where the background changes color (like in a real day) and different nature pops in, like the bamboos and cherry blossoms, is a neat idea that was executed well.
