(4K, 2024) CityJet CRJ-1000 (EI-HIE - operating for Lufthansa) approach and landing on Runway 7L at Frankfurt am Main, Germany, operating flight LH985 from Cork, Ireland, in late September 2024. Skip to the landing gear down at timestamp 03:30 or the landing at timestamp 05:25. The colours of the evening sky were really beautiful here as we descended over Germany, passing the Rhine River towards Frankfurt. Lots of street-lights dotting the landscape from the smaller cities and towns near Frankfurt made for a great view. Just like my recently popular A350 videos, I love the flap sounds on the CRJ! It was a very pleasant evening for flying - it seems we had a bit of a wobble in short finals but the touchdown was incredibly smooth. We had several minutes of taxiing then to our parking position on a remote stand. The good news is that just recently, Lufthansa announced that for the summer 2025 season, they will operate the Frankfurt - Cork service with an increased frequency of four times per week!
