Update 19/08/24: The UK government nutrition guidelines for 1-5s were updated in April 2024- we are working hard to update all our videos with the new guidelines. Please note some key changes from the information included within this video for children who are growing as expected and able to eat a well balanced diet. • The Eatwell Guide should be introduced from age 2 years • Children can have semi skilled milk from age 1 (Skimmed milk from age 5) • Dairy products (Eg yogurts) for age 1-5 should be unsweetened ie no free sugar, including fruit juices, added • Commercially manufactured foods for babies are not needed to meet nutritional requirements.
