16:52 The original courtyard extraction 17:57 Cut Osprey dialogue between Fisher and Coen Here's the finale to the prototype build of Splinter Cell. I was so preoccupied with the presence of Nuclear Power Plant and Severonickel in this build that I totally forgot about Presidential Palace, which is of course "under embargo" in this build. The level can be accessed by binding the open level command to a controller button, though. For some reason, none of the dialogue triggers properly after Nikoladze's death, despite the proper sound files being present in the build. Maybe this was an effort to mitigate spoilers? Who knows, but I opted to leave it as is. It's been about 6 months since this build was released, but due to the modding necessary to even access this level, this is probably the first time this version of Presidential Palace has been played. Ironic, considering it wasn't even meant to be played in this build. I was originally only going to post just the courtyard extraction, but there are enough little differences that I went ahead and played through this entire section. As you can see, I applied a widescreen hack, which unfortunately stretches the UI, but otherwise totally converts the game to 16:9. This widescreen hack is meant for the retail version of the game, but it works identically in this prototype build. I would like to do a complete playthrough of this prototype build when Xemu is in better shape. It has gotten surprisingly better in the last couple of months, with various nv2a-focused updates greatly improving the lightning engine for the game, and reducing the amount of solid black textures. Xemu is continuously run and updated by a small group of volunteers, and I have confidence that they will continue to improve the emulator. If you have extensive knowledge of the original Xbox's architecture, Unreal Engine 2, and/or the interactions between the two, I recommend pitching in and helping out by joining the Xemu Discord: / discord Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Xbox v8 (13 September 2002 prototype build) Played in xemu emulator v0.6.2-79-ga32f271d55 for Windows x64
