Valmiki is celebrated as the harbinger-poet in Sanskrit literature. The epic Ramayana, one of his divine creations, consists of 24000 shlokas and 7 kandas (Parts). After the downfall of Sanskrit as a primary language in the Indian Subcontinent, It was necessary to translate the Hindu Scriptures and religious texts into the languages which can be easily grasped by the modern world. One such attempt took place in 1870's by Ralph T. H. Griffith who later on continued translating all Vedas into English. Many attempts later, came the turn of Bibek Debroy who like his predecessors did justice to the whole story by beautifully translating it thereby succeeding in bringing out the emotions of the epic. I consider it as a good omen to start my Youtube journey by reviewing this book. I do apologize for the video quality standards and my editing game.
