Reading from the Book of Isaiah (49:3.5-6): The Lord said to me: “You are my servant, Israel, through whom I will be glorified”. And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb as his servant, to bring Jacob back to him, and to gather Israel to him; I have been glorified in the eyes of God. And my God has been my strength: “It is too little that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the survivors of Israel.
