On the evening of April 19, 2025, an officer had tracked down a hit-and-run suspect. The woman was getting out of her car when he arrived. The officer would write in his report that she tried to run to the back to hide, and as she was attempting to run, she was stumbling and almost falling over. The officer found the woman as she attempted to conceal herself behind a chair that was too small. The woman would eventually come out and speak with the officer. Based on the police report, the suspect had struck a vehicle as it had been about to go through the drive-through at Starbucks on Cheney Highway. The victim saw the woman in her rearview mirror, and then got the license plate as she left the parking lot. The officer would ask the suspect about this, and she admitted to being at Starbucks but was unsure if she hit anything.
