Wednesday, February 21st 1973. Soundless footage of the Army Chief of Staff of the Republic of Niger at the start of a three-day visit to Nigeria. Colonel Chaweye Balla-Arabe, the Nigerien Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, arrived in Kaduna to begin a round of visits to military and civilian establishments in Nigeria. He was met at the airport by Brigadier Iliya D. Bisalla, the General Officer commanding the First Division of the Nigerian Army and senior officers of the Nigerian armed forces. Colonel Balla-Arabe inspected a guard of honour by troops of the 81st Infantry Battalion at the airport. Colonel Balla-Arabe was scheduled to visit the Headquarters of the 1st Infantry Division, the Nigerian Defence Academy, and the Defence Industries Corporation.
