Celebrating the Life of Reverend Clinton M. Miller Sunrise: June2, 1967 Sunset: January 14, 2026 OBITUARY Reverend Clinton M. Miller was born to the late Dr. Flora Miller and William W. Miller, Jr., on June2, 1967. He had a lifelong commitment to service, social justice, and his Christian faith. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School, where he played baseball and was captain of his basketball team. He received his call to ministry at the age of 19, later earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Divinity from Yale University. Rev. Miller was multi-dimensional. He loved music and worked as a D.J., barber, and public-school teacher before continuing his ministerial training at the Abyssinian Baptist Church. At Abyssinian, he served as youth minister under the late Reverend Dr. Calvin O. Butts III. He was ordained by American Baptist Churches of Metro-NY and the United Missionary Baptist Association of Greater New York. In October 2000, Reverend Miller was called to Pastor at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, where he faithfully served for more than two decades. During Reverend Miller’s tenure, Brown Memorial grew spiritually and expanded its membership as the church’s youth, young adult, and athletic programs prospered. Under his leadership, the church completed construction of the Fellowship Hall and the renovation of the sanctuary. As a result of Rev. Miller’s community-focused vision, several new ministries flourished, including the Brown Memorial Community Development Corporation, summer camp, and after-school programs. Rev. Miller’s ministry extended beyond the walls of the church to include leadership roles with the Harlem YMCA and Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA. He was a co-founder and vice chair of the 400 Foundation, Inc., a NYC-based organization founded and led by several religious leaders working towards economic equality. A life-long sports enthusiast and avid Knicks and Mets fan, he was honored to serve as chaplain for the New York Liberty of the WNBA. He departed this life on January 14, 2026, and was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Webster Miller, Jr., and Dr. Flora Miller. He leaves to mourn and celebrate his life his cherished daughter Charlotte Nia Taylor Miller, his brother William W. Miller, 3rd., his niece Asha Miller, great-niece Ayama Madeline Miller, Adam Palmer (God-brother), Jasmine Palmer (God-sister/Seylah/daughter), Na’ima Palmer (Goddaughter), and a host of cherished relatives, friends, and admirers.
