In this video we will cover how the buying process works at Sedo, when you have found a domain that you want to buy on our marketplace. There are 2 main types of listings you will see, the domain could be listed as Make Offer or Buy Now. If the domain is listed as Buy Now then the listing is a fixed price you cannot negotiate a lower price on these listings, you can only pay the price that you see. A buy now listing looks like this… To purchase it you would simply click buy now and you will be directed to another page to confirm and complete your payment details. However domains that you want to buy could also be listed as Make Offer, Make Offer domains are open to negotiation, these type of listings look like this in the search results: To make an offer directly to the seller, make sure you are logged into your Sedo account and then click on Make Offer, Before you make an offer, make sure you have done your research and you know how much the domain could be worth, if you make an offer on the domain without knowing what the value could be then you are only weakening your negotiating position and opening yourself up to a possible failed negotiation. The seller will likely know how much the domain is roughly worth, so any really low offers could just result in the offer being ignored. Enter your offer for the domain and select make offer. You will then be forwarded to another page to confirm the offer, double check you have entered the correct amount before proceeding as you cannot retract offers once made. You can enter a comment for the seller attention here, if you think it will encourage a sale but its not mandatory. Make sure all the information is correct, read our agreements and terms of use and Once you are happy and agree to these, select the green button ‘confirm offer’. And that’s it, your offer will be sent to the seller by email for consideration and they will also get a notification in their Sedo account about the offer.
