If you have received a counter offer from the seller of a domain or previously made an offer on a domain and now you want to know how to continue the negotiation. In today's video we will show you where you can negotiate directly with the seller in your Sedo account and explain what options you have. Any offers you make on domains are sent to the sellers for consideration. If a seller responds to your offer with a counter offer, then we will email you to let you know about it and you will also see a message in your Sedo account directly as you login informing you of this offer, in both instances there will be a link where you can click to go straight to the offer and negotiation history page. However, to access the negotiation history directly make sure you are logged into your account. Select Buyer Control Panel from the main navigation menu, then scroll to the ‘Offers’ section and select the domain name. Here you can see the negotiation history and any messages from the seller, you will also have options to negotiate further. If you have received a new counter offer then you will have the following options: In Option A you can accept and PURCHASE the domain for the price of new offer received, you can do this by selecting ‘Buy Domain’ at which time an agreement is reached and you are committed to buying the domain for that price. In Option B you can COUNTER OFFER with a higher amount. We will talk about this option in more details after option C In Option C you can cancel the NEGOTIATIONS if your price expectations are to different to the sellers or if your just not interested in negotiating further, Cancelling will ensure that you receive no further reminders about the original offer. So back to Option B, You can enter your new counter offer, if you want to buy the domain for less than the sellers offer, select either a quick comment from the drop down or add your own custom comment if you think that will assist the sale. After selecting ‘make offer; you will be forwarded to another screen to double check your offer as it cannot be retracted once made and is binding for 7 days. Read the terms and agreements and once you are happy tick the box. Select ‘confirm your offer’ to send your new offer to the buyer. Before you make an offer, make sure you have done your research and you know how much the domain could be worth, if you make a blind offer without knowing what the value of the domain could be then you are only weakening your negotiating stance and opening yourself up to a possible failed negotiation. The seller will likely know how much the domain is roughly worth, so any really low offers could just result in the offer being ignored. Don’t forget to subscribe so that you do not miss out on the new content that we are releasing and keep watching to see the next video about what options the seller has to respond to any offers they receive from you.
